Grey overalls of Cossack cut (cut very full, diminishing in width towards the foot) with a single scarlet stripe on the outside seam were worn. The black ankle boots had silver-plated spurs. The pouch belt for undress was 2^ inches wide of black patent leather with a pouch of the same material, 4^ inches 30 deep y. 6^ inches wide, and having rounded corners. Like the dress belt it was decorated with chest ornaments in silver. The undress sword belt and slings were of 1-inch wide Russian leather embroidered silver.
