I continued to get prayer from people who seemed to flow in the anointing for this breakthrough, but the outcome looked the same. I didn’t seem to be responding any differently to His presence. Unusual Manifestations I wasn’t giving up! My seeming lack of receiving stoked my hunger and drove me to press in. After several years on this quest, something started happening to me. No one was praying for me when it happened. It occurred when I was going about my normal day. Suddenly, I began to feel a sensation on my head.

The first thing that I do, with permission of the family, is pray that they are resurrected from the dead. The second thing I do, if they are not resurrected from the dead, is bury them. Then I mourn with the family. Many Christians think that mourning is wrong. We don’t mourn like the world; we mourn with the knowing that we will see them again, but we can’t allow our mourning to lead us to unbelief. We see, in the end of the Gospel of Mark, that if we allow our mourning to lead us to a place of unbelief, we end up focusing on what has not happened, as opposed to what has happened, and this shuts down fruitfulness.

Joaquin’s spiritual radar can recognize His voice no matter whom He is speaking through. His love for the Holy Spirit spills out on everyone around him, refreshing them and enabling them to run after the more. His heart for God comes out in everything he does. When I asked Chris Gore, current Healing Rooms director, to write a chapter, I hoped he would choose the topic he chose. Every time I hear him share it, I weep. I am greatly touched by the testimonies of his ministry. I so appreciate Deborah Stevens, our events director, not only for the excellence with which she does her work, but also for the depths of her hunger for God, love for others, and capacity for joy.
