Air acetylene torches are used by HVACR technicians to produce sufficient heat for silver (hard) soldering brazing. These torches use a mixture of air and acetylene as a fuel. Oxyacetylene torches are used for brazing, welding, and cutting. These torches mix oxygen and acetylene gases to produce a very intense, hot flame. The following safety rules should be practiced when using this equipment.
